Well we started the year with a fantastic amount of money collected at our Christmas collections at Tesco’s and Morrison’s at the end of last year….£2040 which is an amazing amount!!

Thank you to all who helped with the collections and those who donated without your help we wouldn’t be able to support these charities.

This will be shared amongst three charities,  Slideaway, a Maidstone based charity supporting bereaved children and their families, Leybourne Riding for the disabled  and The Salvation Army.

All very worthwhile charities and it is our pleasure to be able to support them in this way.

We have just had our Boogie Woogie Gals evening, this was a nostalgic evening with lots of audience participation, singing and dancing the night away and for those of you who couldn’t make it you missed a fabulous evening.

Our next up and coming events are,

17th March Quiz night at Grange Park School

7th April Race night at Grange Park School

28th April Barn Dance with Rattle the Boards Ceilidh band at Ryarsh Village Hall

Please make a note in your diary’s as they will all be entertaining events where we challenge your knowledge with quizzes, tempt you to spend your money at the races and then encourage you to dance the night away with foot tapping music!! Bring your friends and make an evening of it.

As you will see on our club programme we have Tim Wyatt coming on Tuesday 27th February to talk to us about his work and involvement in the Thames life boats….i know this will be really interesting so make a note in your diary.

Last month we were due to have a talk from Hilary Newman the Lazy Gardener but unfortunately due to illness he had to pull out, we are hoping to offer an alternative date so we can hear his tips on how to be a lazy gardener.

We are a great team of people and we meet every Tuesday at Spadework Nursery Offham so do come along and find out more about us.
